Someone asked a question this morning on my thoughts concerning “Fan-Fiction.” This was my response:
As far as “Fan-fiction” goes, I absolutely hate the term. I think it’s damning to a writer to label themselves as a writer of fan-fiction because often times it undermines the work, which…

Hi Everyone!
Late last night we added two new features to the Celtx Cloud.
1. Edge Script Editor Notes – we added support for embedded coloured Notes in the Edge editor (you’ll see a new icon in the toolbar for adding a new Note). Notes sync across all platforms – Desktop, Cloud and Mobile – so for example, Notes added to a script from Celtx Script for iOS and Android or Script for Mac OSX will show up in your Edge editor and vice versa.
2. Ask Celtx – accessed from the Tiles Page (the one you see after logging in), Ask Celtx is a Q&A style forum. You can use Ask Celtx for support or to canvass the Celtx Community for information and advice or to answer questions from other users. Ask Celtx is public, meaning anyone can review questions and answers, but you need a Celtx Account to ask a question (no need to have an active subscription, just an account). Give it a whirl when you can. [The plan is for Ask Celtx to replace the Celtx Forums as the latter has become almost unusable due to the sPaM bots wreaking havoc.]
Hope this is good! Mark, CEO for Team Celtx.
Hmm. This depends on what kind of timeline you mean, but it sounds like you’ve got some creative repurposing ahead of you!
Can you please post your question to ask.celtx.com? I’d love to hear what the community suggests.
Can you please e-mail me billing@celtx.com. This is troubling and the more information I have about your particular workflow, the better I’ll be able to help.
After you run it through Typeset, click the Save PDF button rather than print it from the Typeset return.
Your script is not retained on the server. It goes through Typeset, our formatting engine, and is returned adhering to industry conventions for you to click the Save PDF button.
To export a script as a PDF without upgrading your account to Edge, you’ll need to open the script with the desktop software by clicking File > Open from Celtx.
Then just click Typeset/PDF and Save PDF.
We do not currently have a manual. If you log into your cloud account at celtx.com and click the Guides tile, you can have a look at the resources available for you, many of which are free.
Hi Joe! If you have a script inside your cloud account that you want to download, all you need to do is first make sure you have the latest version 2.9.7 of the desktop software.
(This can be grabbed from the Desktop tile in your cloud account, if you need to update.)
Once it’s installed, launch the software and click Open from Celtx. Enter your cloud account credentials and you will be able to open the script and save it to your local hard drive.
If you mean Celtx Plus, the pro version of our downloadable desktop software, no, it does not.
Celtx Script for OS X, the dedicated writing app from the Mac App Store however, does.
Yes, landscape mode is supported as long as your device is running Android 3.0 or higher.
Unfortunately, no, there is not yet undo/redo functionality built in.
To do this, you just need to run your script through TypeSet, our formatting engine.
There are two places to run your script through TypeSet to print your script to industry conventions. The desktop software is one of them. If your script is currently in your cloud account, launch the latest version 2.9.7 of the desktop software, click Open from Celtx, and then click the TypeSet/PDF sub-tab below the script.
The second place to find TypeSet allows you to stay in your cloud account. If your cloud account is upgraded to Celtx Edge, then TypeSet is an icon found natively in the script editing toolbar.
I can help you out. Can you please e-mail me at billing@celtx.com so I can get some more information?
No, your script is private. If you save your script to your personal cloud account, it is only visible to other collaborators you explicitly add as Writers or Readers.
