Heads-up for Celtx Users!
We’re just over 24 hours into our massive new update and we have one immediate alert that has been brought to our attention by some of our (thankfully, polite and patient) non-English writers.
There is a bug in the server where the use of non-English accented characters may cause Celtx Script to crash under specific circumstances. (So specific that it eluded us during testing.)
An immediate fix is in development and testing with an update expected by Monday. The circumstances that can cause problems are as follows:
1. Celtx Script will crash if you have a have a cloud-based project script that has non-English letters in the title of the script.
2. If you use non-English accented characters in the title of a stand-alone script begun in the cloud, after you sync it with your iOS device, the title will turn into garbage text.
3. Accented characters in the text of a script begun in iOS are fine. However, we have found that if this script is synched to the cloud, edited and subsequently synched back to your iOS device, the accented characters are mangled into garbage.
Again, we want to thank everyone for both bringing this to our attention so quickly and for being patient with us as we work on an immediate fix.
Whole lotta love,
Ryan
