Anonymous asked: Is it possible to add a new screenplay within a project, *on the web*, without having to open it in desktop, add it, and save it back?

Our intention is to eventually gracefully phase out the desktop convention of “projects” altogether and let Celtx users define their own “projects” from among the resources in their cloud accounts.

As such, no, the current state of the cloud editor only lets you create scripts and a project as it is understood by the desktop editor.  You can, instead, create a folder to collect scripts.

This shouldn’t interfere with your cross-platform writing — you may notice that if you begin writing on a “loose” script and then open it in the desktop, the desktop editor sports a blue banner reminding you that you’re in “Script-only Mode.”  Saving will update the script in the cloud.

Adding a desktop-only element to this script like, say, a storyboard or production schedule, turns it into a full project.  You can then click “Save As” and when you save it to your cloud account, it will subsequently appear as a project alongside the loose script.
