Good question. We *like* how lean Celtx Script is and the more we tack on to it, the more we risk it bloating into something that lacks the agility the 21st century pre-production environment benefits from.
That said, the utility of the Master Catalog isn’t something we want to lose as more and more people move towards the cloud/collaborative environment. We don’t currently have plans to embiggen Celtx Script to duplicate all of the functionality of the Celtx Desktop client but what we may do in the future is spin out an additional app that offers this functionality expressly for those people who would want or need it, much like we did with Celtx Shots.
As long as the cloud synching infrastructure works as reliably as intended, this kind of modularity would let people shape the workflow that works best for them.
